Welcome to Handmade By Alib! I'm a one-woman business, lovingly handcrafting unique treasures just for you. My name is Alice, but you can call me Alib (pronounced a-lib or ali-b, either works!).

Now, you might be wondering how I ended up here, making these little pieces of art for you and your home. Well, it all started during lockdown when I needed a creative outlet. I toured the world as a professional ballet dancer before retraining in hair and makeup. I was working in the theatre and touring UK & Ireland before lockdown threw us all for a loop.

But hey, every cloud has a silver lining, right? That's when I discovered the art of resin, I was experimenting with making preserved flower keychains as an idea for a gift for my bridesmaids, because who doesn't love a personalised accessory? It was my husband, Sam, who suggested selling my little creations and without his ongoing love and support, I wouldn't have had the bravery to go for it!

And was born, the bestselling Galaxy Bookmarks

From there, Handmade By Alib blossomed into what it is today, offering a range of delightful treasures. Coasters that add a pop of personality to your coffee table, bookmarks that transport you to other worlds with every turn of the page, and of course, my beloved keyrings that keep your keys company in style.

When I'm not busy creating, you can find me indulging in my other passions. I absolutely love to read, I'm never far away from my kindle and getting lost in the pages of a good book. Either that or I'm stealing lots of cuddles with my black Labrador Sydney!
